In Florida a new roof resets the roof-age clock, and a re-roof or impact windows usually mean new wind-mitigation credits. Each weekday you get the homes that just filed those permits, with the owner's name and mailing address.

Why these permits
- Florida law (s. 627.7011(5)) bars an insurer from refusing to write or renew a policy only because the roof is under 15 years old, so a new roof opens up more carriers.
- Re-roofs, impact windows and shutters are the features the wind-mitigation form (OIR-B1-1802) credits, so the owner is likely due a new inspection and a re-quote.
- Marketing data only: it may not be used to set rates, underwrite or decide eligibility.
